custom background questions
hello all, im making my first custom 3d background, and i have a question, I've heard all over the forums that krylon fusion is safe for coloring and it also seals, but my predicament is, do i have to seal the Styrofoam with drylok and then spray the krylon or with just the krylon be enough since it apparently seals? your help is very appreciated, thanks all (:

Re: custom background questions
I have never seen the recommendation to use Krylon fusion paint of a DIY background but that doesn't mean someone hasn't actually done it.
You can tint the Drylok paint either at the store or using a liquid concrete colorant that is available at the home improvement store.

Re: custom background questions
Krylon Fusion paint should be fine, test it out first though. When the spray paint is applied directly onto the background, there's a good chance it will melt the Styrofoam. Apply the Drylok on the Styrofoam first, let it cure, then spray with the paint. Let the paint cure and then test it out in an uninhabited aquarium.

Re: custom background questions
Krylon works fine sprayed on the Drylok.
I've done it twice now.
Just wait 2-3 days for it to properly dry, but since your waiting for the silicone to dry anyway your golden Ponyboy
Cheers
