|
|
| So the tank is 6ft long and 84g which gives it a lot more floor space. I know I want some Neolamprologus leleupi but what are other suggestions to go with them?? Also how many of them can I keep together? |

| You should purchase several leleupi. As for the tankmates, there are alot of possibilities. Are there any specific fish you had in mind? |

How tall and wide is that tank? I never heard of a 84G that was 72" long, is it not very tall? _________________ 125G Calvus, Caudopunctatus, J Gombe, Brevis, Leleupi, Tret, Cyp Kerenge

It is a tank I got in Las Vegas at Trop Aquarium. The dimensions are 72X18X15 I know odd size. |

You have plenty of options for tankmates, although in general its best to avoid keeping Leleupi with Shelldwellers. Personally I'd add 4-5 calvus or comps - they make a great addition to any tang tank really.
What kind of decor do you have in place? If you have lots of rocks I'd look at another rockdwelling Tang, a Julidochromis species perhaps? If you have plenty of open water then I'd suggest a large school of cyprichromis to fill out the top strata.

I really do not get the question how can a tank be 6 foot and just 84g?
Boy what an odd shaped tank if true.
Give the dimenitions please. _________________ There are no rules governing generic assignments, only opinions. BCA member 207. Try it you might like it. All the best James. |

I don't know, it's a short tank, I might skip the cyps. Or if I really wanted cyps in that tank, I'd do just cyps. It would make a nice species tank for cyps.
The fish I have in my signature are in a 78 x 18. I am removing the tret and the leleupi, but the others are options for you.
If you want the leleupi, then omit the shellies. _________________ 125G Calvus, Caudopunctatus, J Gombe, Brevis, Leleupi, Tret, Cyp Kerenge

72" long is about all I got from guesses and your post but then this is rather silly, please give the size and foot print of the tank. But what do I care it was you who was looking for advice. Maybe being an expert you should set up your own website.
I will be willing to help you again by posting again on this thread honest. _________________ There are no rules governing generic assignments, only opinions. BCA member 207. Try it you might like it. All the best James. |

72X18X15
72 X 18 = 1296 square inches
1296 X 15 = 19440 cubic inches
19440 cubic inches = 84.1558 gallons |

Sorry about my strop but is the tank 15" wide and 18" tall or 18" wide and 15" tall or something else? It makes a difference to what could go in.
Could be 72" long and just 12" or less wide and very deep, in which case different fish would be recommended to an 18" or 24" wide tank. _________________ There are no rules governing generic assignments, only opinions. BCA member 207. Try it you might like it. All the best James. |
