In building a sump, I found that I need to source some mesh approximately 3/16 - 1/4" square. I have eggcrate already, but need something finer. Any ideas on where to look to find smaller mesh? Rough size of 12"x12", so gutter guards are out.

Rigid or flexible?

Good question - i plan to lay it on top of eggcrate, and under media, so flexible will work, as would rigid.

I've used plastic canvas mesh in tanks without problems. It's sold in craft/hobby stores and comes in various mesh sizes.

I used window screen and made a basket out of it for my media. This way, I can lift the whole basket when I want to clean my sump. Pretty cheap to.
