I got three different types of cyprichromis, a touchy fish to ship. compounding the difficulty for tom was shipping to cleveland in februaury. The fish all arrived healthy. The fish were also the size and sex he promised. i have ordered from tom before and have never had any losses.
Purchased 3 types of microlepidotus, the fish were everything Tom said they would be.Shipping went extremely well and the fish are doing great.I will be doing future business.
My first order with Toms Tanganyicans turned out very well. I had been searching for Tanganyican Killie fish for quite a long time. These fish are nortorius for being difficult to ship. I was greatful that Tom knows how to ship these delicate fish. The fish were vibrant and acclimated well.

My first order from Tom a year ago came in too cold and had some doas but he did give a refund for the losses.I know first hand that things can go wrong shipping fish and especially in cold weather with the possibility of the heat pack failing and rough treatment of the fish by the carrier.I gave Tom a second chance and I am glad I did.Now I have a great breeding group of Cyprichromis microlepidotus Kassei,some N.buescheri Congo golds,and some more Xenotilapia ochrogenys Mzuri to add to my group.Thanks Tom!!

I purchased a nice colony of Petrochromis Red Bulus. If you do not know these petros are almost impossible to get but thanks to Tom I have some beautiful very rare petrochromis. I can't believe how wild caught fish could be so well conditioned after only being in this country for a couple months. Tom, you did a great job with these beauties. I can't wait to breed them. Anytime I buy more cichlids I know where to go!! Toms Tangs can't be beat.
I just picked up some tropheus and cyps from Tom's Tanganyikans. Once again, I could not have been more pleased. If you are looking for hard to find, reasonably priced, high quality Tanganyikans from a very knowledgable guy, Tom is that guy.

On several occasions I have purchased various Cyprichromis leptosoma Kitumbas, microlepidotus Bulupint, and BuluPoint Sattelfleck----(EXTREMELY RARE Cyprichromis). His fish are vibrant and healthy. If you buy young adults, they will breed immediately, which is a sign that the stock is healthy. His featherfins are gorgeous and the Cyprichromis are the best I have seen. If you're looking to buy Tanganyikan cichlids, he is definitely a breeder and importer you will be happy to have found.
I bought 18 Kitumba Congo Fronts and 12 WC Ikola Tropheus from Tom. The fish arrived via air cargo. Even though I bought 1.75-inch fry, the fronts are a nice blue. The Ikolas are very large with very large wide yellow bands. Tom provided great customer service and was prompt in his response to my questions. The transaction was smooth and business like. This is the way business should be conducted. I recommend Tom highly and will do business with him again. Quality stock, quality customer service, and does what is promised. Great overall transaction.
I had never bought fish from an online breeder & was VERY leary about doing so.
Purchased 8 Kitumba Frontosas (4 @1.5" & 4 @ 1.75 ") from Tom's Tangs that arrived in early February & had been waiting for the weather to send them since December. Tom was pretty nice & helped me through the process. The Fronts arrived in pretty good condition (from what I could tell.) Lost one in 10 days, but the other 7 are doing well three months later & growing rapidly. Overall I don't think that I can complain & I'd consider doing busines with Tom again.
I have ordered 3 female WC Kitumbas from Tom. Within 2 months all three females had dropped tubes. I have dealt with Tom several times, only to be amazed at the quality of his fish, and outstanding service he provides. He's extremely knowledgeable, and very friendly to work with.
His fish room has some of the nicest stocked fish i have ever seen. Frontosa, like always are simply amazing.
Being that I am a local hobbyist near Tom i was able to witness the care he puts into his fish room. It most definitely shows in his selection of some of the most finest, rarest fish. Highly recommend this retailer.
