all fish arrived healthy, after 2 weeks still great health, sizes were as I was told, plus they thew in a freebie, definetly recommend, and will do business with these guys again

"My Go To Store in Austin, TX!"
This store has a out-of-this-world selection of African cichlids. I bought my 75 gallon aquarium here along with nearly all of my cichlids. The store is clean and has a nice presentation. The giant (500 gallon?) frontosa display tank in the fish room is always fun to stop and look at. Excellent quality cichlids. I can't comment on their unusually good return policy because I have not had a single fish loss from this store.
Austin has so many fish shops that the competition is fierce, but this store really shines. A++
I e-mailed a request to RCA and not only were they the 1st to respond but Jake really worked to accomodate my needs. My order was handled very professionally and all of the fish arrived in great condition and are thriving. Selection, pricing, quality, and condition of the stock was all top notch. I heartily endorse River City Aquatics if you are considering a mail order. They will get my repeat business!--amended-- Apparently not. I was so pleased with my first order, I emailed RCA to order again but never even received a reply. Just ordered from Live Fish Direct. So far so good; will update on them later when I receive my order.
Jake has been awesome, the ability to tell sex of juvenile fish has been 100%, I have bought 18 fish with 100% survival rate. No matter how many times I have asked for water test, they act as though it is my first time and as though I was about to buy out the store. Thank you RCA and I will be spending more money where it is enjoyable to do so.
Jake was especially helpful, as I needed a specific sized C. Frontosa AND wanted a male and 2 females (hard to do with the sexing on smaller fish). He came through with flying colors on all requests. The best part is that the fish are beautiful and healthy. I'll definitely do biz with River City Aquatics again.
I had a great experience ordering from RCA. They had everything in stock and the quality of the fish was very high. They also did an excellent job selecting the sexes I was interested in.
I highly recommend River City Aquatics to anyone in South Texas and all over the US. Everytime I have visited, the tanks are pristine and sparkling. All the fish are healthy and I can definitely see why. Carlos and his staff are very dedicated to the hobby and knowledgable about cichlids. They are also the friendliest bunch of people to get to know and they stand behind their customers 100%. Carlos has been known to make deals on orders and his "7 Day Guarantee" is unheard of in the business. If you visit their website you will see their selection of cichlids and prices are hard to match, as well. All the fish I have purchased were expertly bagged and packed in a styrofoam box, for the drive home, at no extra cost. River City Aquatics has raised the standards of what to expect from a retailer in my mind. I'm glad I have found this gem of a store in Austin!
river city aquatics is by far the best fish store i have shoped at and I've never been in thier once i call my orders in and they come in in great condition. highly reccommened call them or visit they store ask for jake wand he knows his stuff
My fish shopping experience with RCA was fantastic. Their selection of fish is excellent. Jake took the time to answer my many questions and offer great advice. I have ordered from many online fish stores and RCA is in my top 2 for service and quality of fish. They are second to none in the packaging of the fish for shipment. My fish arrived in Wisconsin in excellent shape. I have received two shipments from RCA and will definitely purchase fish from them in the future. Thanks for the great communication.
1st a quick thank you to Jake! I had sent in the list of fish I wanted via email and then the next day I had a phone message from Jake telling me that one of my request was no longer available. He looked at my order and made a couple of suggestions based on the other fish in my order and asked questions about the fish I already had. I am glad I took his suggestions because the fish added to take the place of the original request fit in great and quickly took on their stunning color. In summery: Great Fish, Great communication and Great service. Thanks again! Will do business with them again soon.

"A great place to shop"
This is one of my favorite fish stores. Due to both friendliness and cost, I have tried other varieties of fish that I would not even consider unless they were affordable. I have also purchased several aquariums and equipment that was backed with outstanding service. One of my favorite things that I really like about RCA is it is a good place to just go talk about fish and being in the hobby. It is really interested to know about the fish that Carlos and many of his staff have owned or currently own.
rca is a gerat place to get fish from, carlos shipped the fish to me and they where all healthy. He was patient with me and helped me out alot I just can,t wait till the the next time i purchase from rca thanks again carlos jim from chicago
