Ordered 6 fish (Travew and a Rusty). Packaging was absolutely great! The bags were tagged with their name. When I called he was busy,wrote my number and called back like he said. Accepts paypal also. Provided tracking info and I am def. going to use him again. Great selection!!
This is the second time I have ordered from Dave and I received my new shipment of Mbuna Friday 15 and all were in great health and looked awesome. Dave as always was very helpful and patient and I will continue to do business with him.
I have never ordered fish online. My selection of Malawi cichlids locally is limited. I did much research on mail order providers and decided to try Dave's. Ordered 10 fish total. They arrived exactly when promised. Although 1 did not survive, Dave handled it to my satisfaction. Most importantly to me as a consumer, was Dave's knowledge and friendliness. He walked me through a process that was new to me. I was getting ready to drop $100+ and was nervous. Overall experience was great. I'll call him again next time I need fish.
I bought 160$ worth of cichlids from Dave. This guy has the best mbuna on the market. His cobalts are one of a kind and you wont find coloring like that from other companies. I'm actually in the process of ordering from him again.
I called Dave's on Wednesday night to order mbunas for my new tank. This is my first go at mbunas, and Dave took the time to work with me on species selection and general advice. The fish arrived on Friday morning, extremely well packed and active in the bags. They were curious and checking out their new home within 30 minutes after acclimating and adding them to the tank, and eating like little hogs a few hours later. They're still too young to say that they're coloring up fully or anything, but it's easy to see that they're very healthy. I'll use Dave's again, the next time I need fish.

I ordered 6 Ectodus descampsii through Dave. The fish arrived on the date scheduled and were double bagged with metal clamps to prevent them from opening. All 6 are healthy and happy in there new home and look to be quality stock. Will definitely look to Dave first for future fish.

Dave was very helpful on the phone helping me narrow down my 5 species of mbuna (I had done a lot of homework). He hadn't done many orders outside of the US, so he stayed on the phone the entire time it took to establish that it was possible to ship to Toronto. Have was fastidious in making sure both the shipping and the fish had worked out as planned.
I was aprehensive about buying fish on-line for the first time. I'm glad I went with Dave. I got into Victorian Cichlids recently and they are nearly impossible to find locally. When you do find them at local fish stores, they are usually mis-identified or un recognizeable hybrids. I went with Dave because of the high ratings here at CF.com. I decided on the Kyoga Flamebacks for a species only tank. When I contacted Dave, he was friendly and explained the process well for me. It was easy to order by phone. I called on monday. My fish shipped tuesday. I had them at 10 am wednesday morning. I got a fed-ex email letting me know the shipping status so I could track. When the fish arrived, they were in great shape, the water was clean, and the fish acclimated to my cycled tank right away. The males colored up within a month and looked exactly as they should. They are beautiful. The fish began breeding at about 6 weeks and as I write, I got 2 females holding. Overall a great experience and when I start another tank, Dave will be the only retailer I deal with.
Ordered 10 ndumbi's that came in today. Through the process, Dave was helpful. He didn't make me feel like I was wasting his time, like other fish sellers do. The fish came in great condition, and I can't wait to get them in their tank and ready to go! Will order from again.
Bought 3 female yellow labs for my one male. Dave picked out 3 great females and now my male is so happy. Wonder why. Whole deal was painless and very smooth. Honered one DOA from another order. Mailed when asked and packaged great. Each fish in its own doubled wraped bag in a strong container. Dave's a winner in my book.
Dave has interesting stock with a good balance of haps, mbuna, and tangs. He sells fry and larger fish as well. I have been happy with what I have bought.
